How to Party Like a Geek

Don’t let this too-cool Hollywood night on the town picture fool you.
Even though my girls look all decked out for a night on the town, we’re not attending the latest club opening party or some movie premiere. It’s something far more cooler and geekier (which in my world, goes hand in hand.) We were at an afterparty for a video game turned Michael Cera movie.

With the help of a couple of new friends, we were able to bypass the ultra-long line at the door and get in V.I.P. status to this cool warehouse complete with a dance floor…

…simulated living room for those who had come out of their natural habitat…only to go back into their natural habitat.

And a photo booth we didn’t really know how to work.

After we had our fun, we picked up some super-soft t-shirts as goodbye gifts. (Those are not t-shirts, as you can see. Those are vouchers for t-shirts.)

All in all, not the most predictable place for me to be on a Thursday night. But then again, I never have been really good at being predictable, have I? And it’s never about where you’re at, it’s always who you’re with.
Where is the most unexpected place you have ever been to?

I have this problem. I have a need to share with the world my passions and interests and hope that they will also enjoy it. Hence, this blog is born- to showcase some of the things I'm most fascinated with. Most of the posts relate to the media as it relates to me. (Blame the early twenties neurosis of thinking the world revolves around you). (More..)
