summer reading
Aahhh, summertime. The time to kick back, relax, and knock back a few.
Books, I mean. (Beers are nice too but books have fewer calories.)
When my Amazon package arrived a couple of days ago, I was jumping up and down, grinning from cheek to cheek like it was Christmas morning. Actually, I get more excited than I do on Christmas morning. My love affair with books is well pronounced and well announced and I read them year round. However, I’ve recently been on a book binge, buying more books than I have time to read. And yesterday, even though I already have that stack pictured above to go through, I still went to THREE bookstores hoping to purchase One Day by David Nicholls. (Random tandem, DO NOT read the timeonline “review” of the book, I was browsing for a good link to the book and it pretty much gave me the whole story before I have even read it yet!) EW was basically making love to it last week and since EW is my magazine bible, I. HAD. TO. HAVE. IT. I think it will be good. It sure is hyped up enough, being sold out in two of the bookstores and me buying the second the last one at the third shop. And like every other overhyped fiction these days, it’s already in the works to becoming a movie.
Hopefully with my upcoming travels, time will be on my side and I can blind my eyes even more soaking up the written word. I mean, the stories found in there are way better than the ones I find in places like, I don’t know, Facebook?

I have this problem. I have a need to share with the world my passions and interests and hope that they will also enjoy it. Have you ever thought of buying a amazon kindle, the price dropped to 189 now for the global wireless one.
I love books, but you know that. I have so many books. and I want a kindle so bad. I think my coinstar jar has enough money in it to get one now. Do you have a goodreads account?
