A Me Day
One day last week, I spent a whole day with a very important person in my life: me.
First stop was a fancy Beverly Hills salon which I finally got my hair fixed. You remember the hairor.
Kazumi Morton, my hairstylist, along with Anh Co Tran and Heidi, did wonders to my locks. No surprise though, considering Kazumi’s responsible for Edward Cullen’s shaggy twi-lights, my procedure is worth $400 and I spent 5 hours at that salon.
I ate a nice, light lunch while waiting for my hair to lighten up.
Now, for all those people who had said my hair was fine before, I thank you for being kind but MY. HAIR. WAS. NOT. FINE.
Ya. Scary, right? You can read the details of my hair trip here.
Then, I proceeded to get a massage. Working on the computer full-time strains my body a lot so due to a very special gift from a very special friend, I was able to enjoy a hearty Russian Bear massage at Voda Spa. (Thanks, EK!)

Cheap $20 Asian massages suit me just fine but it was nice to be able to feel a little pampered with fresh, clean robes, aromatherapeutic sauna, and people smiling at me everywhere I treaded.

Alone time can often be a scary, dreaded thing for a extrovert like myself but after reading Annie’s article about the demise of downtime, I was grateful for a day of self-reflection and self-meditation.
Have you spent a me day recently?

I have this problem. I have a need to share with the world my passions and interests and hope that they will also enjoy it. Hence, this blog is born- to showcase some of the things I'm most fascinated with. Most of the posts relate to the media as it relates to me. (Blame the early twenties neurosis of thinking the world revolves around you). (More..)
