Dia Dominates ‘The Voice’
Now that The Voice fever has officially swept the nation, my Facebook news feed, and the Audrey office, I can finally voice (heh heh) my love for the top 4 finalists.
Beverly McClellan, Vicci Martinez, and Javier Colon are all freakin’ telegenic mofos who have more talent in their pinky finger than my whole 5’7″ frame so forgive me for being a little jealous. However, the one I’m rooting for will definitely have to be the soft-spoken folksy half-Korean Dia Frampton.
Not only did she kill a cover of Kanye West‘s “Heartless” (watch here), she’s also been a seasoned rocker for years. Dia formed the band Meg & Dia her twin sister Meg and together, the group has released 4 albums and 4 EPs!
I was introduced to the band as an awkward college sophomore who crushed on an emo boy who crushed on Meg & Dia. I listened to their music so I could have something to talk to him about and fell in love with them instead.
Not really sure where Meg is right now but sending all my support for Dia and her spectacularly scruffy, angsty vocal chords.

PS. WHAT DID Y’ALLS THINK OF THE PERFORMANCES LAST NIGHT? In all honesty, I thought Dia was a little lackluster in both her duet and solo competition but I still voted for her 10 times anyway.
