Motivational Monday: Impossible Is Just A Big Word…

I was born with a weird condition of thinking I could do anything in this world. This fearlessness allowed me to take chances, wear my heart on my sleeves, make a fool out of myself in front of lots and lots of people.

But then sadly, over the years, something changed. This word “impossible” began to creep in. It began to infiltrate my thoughts.

“He’ll never go for a girl like me–that’s impossible.”

“It’s impossible to get that job with my limited skills.”

“I could never be friends with someone like her, we’re so different it’s impossible.”

“It will be impossible for my life to turn out this way.”

When did this happen? Why did this happen? What happened to the fearless little girl who thought she could have it all-and an extra slice of lemon meringue pie at the end? What happened to the young lady who never settled for anything less than what she originally laid her eyes on?

I think the change came when I found I didn’t know where my faith was coming from. People will eventually let me down, things will not always go according to my plans, bigger things are at play. I have faith in my heart somewhere but sometimes that’s just not enough.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”

Thank You for allowing me to hold onto your promises, Lord.

  loved this post janice not the part where impossible crept up on you, but the part where you realize that you can overcome the impossible, and when you don’t feel like you can, He is faithful and fills you with hope and love so that you can believe.
