Snapshot of My Day

It’s not everyday you get a call after lunch to get to an audition for a commercial. (Thanks sis for the submission!)

That’s for Mercedes Benz.

That stars Kobe Bryant.

The catch: I had to go from regular ol’ Janice in a brown sack shirt, jeans and flats, my hair a bird’s nest atop my head to a classy art gallery owner with the lashes, the dress, the works.

I was fortuitous enough to have some random supplies laying in my car. Spare heels, my headshot and resume.

I was lucky enough to have an awesome office closet whose slinky black dress and shimmery earrings were loaned to me.

And whose makeup I did in the car 10 minutes prior to going into audition.

Left work a little earlier (I make up the hours at home) and braved the traffic to West LA for audition then braved it some more to Downtown for a little Starbucks working time and lastly, to prayer meeting. Just a Snapshot of My Day: Tuesday, February 9, 2011.
