Yes, I’ve Been Eating…
…And quite well, actually, thank you very much.
Following Sinosoul‘s advice to eat well while looking well, I’ve given up on the stringent diet of spinach and brown rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner (that lasted like, a day) and have been just carefully monitoring my caloric intakes through eating smaller portions at a slower pace and really holding back on that second slice of chocolate cake.
And I allowed myself to attend the annual Plate by Plate tasting benefit. Organized by Project by Project, a national 100% volunteer-run org. with chapters in LA, NY and SF, Plate by Plate is basically the biggest potluck by some of the best chefs you’ll ever come across with plenty of ladies and gents dressed to the nines, a fun photo booth, and an expensive extrance fee.
I had a bit of all of that. And it was GOOOOOD.
This is my fav. This milk braised pork belly with soft polenta and gremolada ended up in my belly. Many times over. I kid you not, it tasted like heaven.
I decided to out myself because a lovely reader (hello!) found it funny I had declared my dietary lifestyle change and then spotted me at this event. Well, I tell ya, a reporter’s gotta do what a reporter’s gotta do.
Thanks KevinEats for the invite!

I have this problem. I have a need to share with the world my passions and interests and hope that they will also enjoy it. Hence, this blog is born- to showcase some of the things I'm most fascinated with. Most of the posts relate to the media as it relates to me. (Blame the early twenties neurosis of thinking the world revolves around you). (More..)

Good seeing you Janice!!
lol Nice shout out… I see you reading this Tony!
That porchetta was one of my favorites too!
Typo! extrance -> entrance, second paragraph last sentence.
Fancy !
I’m catching this like… a month later. LOLz, Jenni’s media tentacles know no boundaries.
These eating-for-charities events are so, SO bad for your health. I wanted to barf out my Taste lunch yesterday. Went home, skipped dinner, and pounded fiber instead. BTW, fiber is your friend. Just let us know if you’re taking dextrin based fiber, so we’ll all stay away as your gaseous output increases tenfold.
Hope your dietary makeover is going well, MM. Kate Moss? said it best: nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.
